What’s the Value of the University of Minnesota Undergraduate Scholarship Award?
The scholarship award include but not limited to funds ranging from $10,000 – $25,000. Beneficiaries can receive more base on certain criteria.
For the 2023 academic year, international fresh candidates can receive scholarships of $25,000, $15,000, or $10,000 per year for up to a period of four academic years.
Transfer students may receive $10,000 per year for up to three years when entering the University.

Applicant’s eligibility: An applicant shall be considered for the Utrecht Excellence Scholarship if he or she meet the following eligibility conditions;
* Applicants must be international students.
* Students pursuing undergraduate degree program.
* The award is available to applicants who study any of the undergraduate courses offered at the University.
* Award is offered to applicants base on merit.
* Students enrolling full time in the Honours program in the semester for which the scholarship is awarded.
* Outstanding personal success skills (e.g., emotional maturity, motivation, perseverance, etc.)
* A high school transcript and/or GSE results (transcript written in English, if not in English, it’s required that you have a certified translation).
* Applicants must have a High school certificate or equivalent.
* Candidates must hold an offer for a full-time program at University of Minnesota, USA.
* Applicants must be highly motivated, responsible, and able to work independently in a structured manner and as good interpersonal and communication skill.
* English Language Requirement: Applicants to provide evidence of meeting the University of Minnesota’s minimum “English language proficiency requirements.”

There is no separate scholarship application required; students are considered based on an overall assessment of their on-time admission application. All international fresh students and transfer students who complete their applications for admission by the deadlines are automatically put into consideration for a Global Excellence Scholarship.
